At the Urban Hobbit, we work to preserve as much of the natural lumber as possible. By allowing the unique pieces of wood to determine the exact sizing of each board, we maximize the use of the resource and minimize the amount of waste produced.

All of our pieces are made from unique pieces of wood. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we do not waste sections of the tree just to adhere to standard sizes. By using the largest amount of the wood piece possible, we preserve the unique shape, grain, and history of the tree it came from.
